How it works
- Check the link: it should contain
/share/followed by a long ID. - Open it in a private window. If it works there, the problem is your session or extensions.
- If it says not found, the owner deleted the link or the chat.
Causes
- Deleted. The owner removed the link or the chat. Nothing brings it back, so save links you care about as files.
- Not a share link.
chatgpt.com/c/…is a private chat link and only works for its owner. - Workspace rules. Business and Enterprise admins can limit sharing to people inside the workspace.
- Content removed. Shares that break the usage policies can be taken down.
- Truncated. Messaging apps sometimes cut long links. Copy it again.
