How it works
- Paste the chat's share link above.
- Click Download Word.
- In Google Drive, click New › File upload, then right-click the file and choose Open with › Google Docs.
Getting it into Google Docs
Uploading a .docx keeps headings, lists and tables, which pasting from ChatGPT often mangles. If you want every Word file to open as a Google Doc automatically, turn on Convert uploads in Drive's settings.
Why not copy straight from ChatGPT?
Copying from chatgpt.com brings over web styling and loses structure: code blocks lose their formatting, tables become loose text, and citations turn into odd markers. Exporting first gives Google Docs clean Word structure to work with.
