How it works
- Copy the chat's share link.
- Paste it above.
- Click Download Markdown, or open More and choose Copy Markdown to paste it straight into a note.
What you get
The chat title becomes the top heading. Each turn gets a level-two heading, ## You or ## ChatGPT, so the file has an outline you can fold. ChatGPT's own Markdown, its code fences, tables and lists, passes through untouched. Citation markers are replaced with normal Markdown links, and the ?utm_source=chatgpt.com tracking tag is stripped from every link.
Bulk Markdown with frontmatter
Open your full export ZIP and export many chats at once. Each file is named by date and title and starts with YAML frontmatter: title, source, created date, model and tags. Drop the folder into an Obsidian vault and you get a searchable, linkable archive of everything you've asked ChatGPT.

Does it keep code blocks?
Yes, with the language tag, so syntax highlighting works in Obsidian, GitHub and most editors.
Can I paste it into Notion?
Yes. Copy Markdown and paste into a Notion page. Notion converts headings, lists, tables and code blocks.
